The TLC Roller Relaunch!
Welcome to the TLC Roller relaunch!
I've had an incredible amount of messages about it and I can’t thank you enough for your patience as we’ve been working behind the scenes to restock your favourite tool. Now it's finally here and I promise, it’s worth the wait!
To help get you started, I've created the ultimate ‘Microneedling Cheat Sheet’, so you can slot it into your routine with complete confidence 🥰
Is the TLC Roller different to the Pure Roller?
The Roller itself is exactly the same and is made from the highest quality, pure titanium, 0.25mm needles. We’ve simply renamed it and upgraded the packaging, so it fits in perfectly with the rest of the BASE family.
What does the TLC Roller actually do?
The Roller has 2 majors benefits. Firstly, the tiny needles trigger a wound healing response that naturally increases your collagen production to firm, tone and plump your skin. Secondly, studies have shown it boosts product absorption by up to 66%. This means it’ll supercharge the youth-boosting results of your 5 Minute Kit too.
Does the TLC Roller hurt?
The needles on the Roller are so tiny that they don’t hurt, it just feels like a slightly scratchy sensation. It’s totally bearable and only takes about 5-10 minutes to do.
How often should I use the TLC Roller?
For best results, you only need to use the Roller twice a week, straight after double cleansing in the evening. I always opt for a Wednesday and Sunday night so that the treatments are evenly spaced and follow up with my 5 Minute Kit, PM routine.
Is there a video tutorial I can watch?
Yes! If you scroll down the TLC Roller page, there’s a full step by step, video tutorial waiting for you there. I’ll also be sure to share routines for specific areas of concern over on Instagram, so make sure you’re following along!
How do I clean the TLC Roller?
The Roller comes with a complete guide to walk you through the treatment and explains how to clean it as well. But just so you can plan ahead, you clean it by running the tool under boiling water and then spritz it with sanitising spray. I’ll link my favourite for you here.
Is the TLC Roller suitable for all skin types?
The Roller is safe for all skin types (dry, oily, normal, combination) but I don’t advise it for the following skin conditions: Sensitive skin, active acne, open wounds, cold sores, rosacea, keloid scarring, melasma, psoriasis, eczema or pregnancy.
How often does the TLC Roller need replacing?
To help maintain your plump, youthful skin, the Roller needs changing every 6 months. This ensures the needles remain sharp and effective for maximum impact.
And that's all of your most popular Roller questions, answered! Microneedling has always been the most popular treatment in clinic and I’m delighted we can continue to help you recreate the results, at home 🥰
